Port Stephens; Our home, your wedding destination.

Living in Port Stephens we have the luxury of having some of the country’s most beautiful landscapes right on our doorstep.  From the clear oceans and beaches, to the breathtaking views from Tomaree Mountain and the National Parks that surround us, we love everything about the area.

When you have your wedding in Port Stephens, it allows you to showcase our area and we love helping you do this! Below are some of our favourite spots that our couples have had their ceremony at, and that we use quite a bit.

Barry Park, Fingal Bay

Located on the headland, Barry Park has amazing views of Fingal Bay over the treetops below.  The park is big enough to host large wedding ceremonies and is only a short walk from the carpark.  We love the look of our arbour against Fingal Beach, and the raised wooden walkway around the headland allows for some amazing pictures to be taken against the natural bushland backdrop.

Native Flora Gardens, Nelson Bay

Situated atop of the hill on Victoria Parade, the natural bush setting is perfect for weddings of all sizes.  The gardens are close to the centre of Nelson Bay and Little Beach so you don’t have to travel far to get your pictures taken.  The gardens themselves are well maintained and quite allowing for peacefulness during your ceremony.

Sunset Beach, Soldiers Point

Located on the foreshore in Soldiers Point, Sunset Beach is a large parklands area with plenty of shade, is very well protected and has lush green grass.  There is a small public toilet and play equipment if you are having kids at your wedding.  A jetty is within walking distance and can make for beautiful photos, with a westerly aspect.

Corlette Point Park, Corlette

Just a short walk from The Anchorage, Corlette Point Park is a well-maintained piece of grassed area allowing for ceremonies of all sizes.   The outlook is perfect, with the Bay in the background above the manicured gardens which are looked after by residents.

Inner Lighthouse, Nelson Bay

Perched on top of Nelson Head, the Inner Lighthouse Nelson Bay offers sweeping views toward Tomaree Mountain and out the heads.  The space is grassed with a small concreted space where the ceremony takes place. The committee that runs the Inner Lighthouse are a dream for us to work with, and with one of the best views in the area, we can’t fault it!

Little Beach, Nelson Bay

The park at Little Beach has the perfect backdrop of Nelson Bay, with an amazing jetty located within walking distance.  The ceremony space it flat, grassed and well maintained, and allows for all sizes of ceremonies.  There is ample parking, public bathrooms and playground facilities if you have little people at your ceremony.

Of course, with any public reserve booking, you need to contact Port Stephens Council and apply for a permit to hold your wedding ceremony on one of their parks or reserves.  Please see their website for further information.
