All the Extra Bits
“It's the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen”
When it comes to weddings, there are moments that are photographed that become frozen in time; walking back down the aisle being tossed with rose petals after being pronounced for the first time as a married couple, photos with your family or even just you and your new husband or wife, staring at each other and soaking up the moment as the photographer captures the essence of the moment.
Here at A Beautiful Occasion, we have learnt over the years that the smaller details are just as important as the bigger ones, and these items below, the extra bits that we can offer you, help with these moments and making sure they are as beautiful as they deserve to be.
Rose Petal Cones
We love this trend! It makes the photos as you walk back down the aisle for the first time absolutely pop! We’ve seen such beautiful pictures of this, but the only thing we highly recommend is liaising with your celebrant to make sure your guests know what the cones are for, and for people to come and collect them before the ceremony commences. While your colour pallet might be whites and muted tones, we always say to our couples to include brighter colours, so they don’t get lost in the pictures. Also remember, that most ceremony locations prohibit the use of rice or confetti during ceremonies, so rose petals are a great environmentally friendly alternative.
Buttonholes and Corsages for Parents
While the Groom and Groomsmen generally have these, it is nice for the parents of the Bride and Groom to be included too. For Mum’s, we can make either a shoulder or wrist corsage and we always make these along the same colour schemes as the rest of your wedding, but just a little bit different to the Grooms to make sure he stands out.
Flower Girl Crowns, Baskets and Wands
Flower girls are the most important person in the wedding, right? Well, if you ask them, then the answer is yes! We can include beautiful flower crowns for your girls, or if they want to be able to toss rose petals down the aisle, we have the option of rose petal baskets. But if the flower girl is too small, a flower want is another great option. It keeps them entertained and makes for beautiful photos.
Depending on how you are going to have your hair, will depend on if hair flowers are necessary. We can include some small sprays of flowers that are similar to those being included in your bouquet, all of which your hairdresser will place in your hair once done. We can also put together half flower crowns which are a little bigger, and more of a statement piece. Either way, it makes the photos look amazing.
If you’re having your wedding outside, the use of rose petals to establish your aisle is such a beautiful touch. The colours are generally kept close to those that you’re using throughout your whole wedding. Once we set your ceremony, and have checked everything, we place these down the aisle to make sure they are beautiful for when the bride arrives.
Personalised Welcome Signs
This is another trend we’ve seen being embraced more and more. We have our own sign writer in house who can produce the sign to the wording you want. It is a great keepsake, and really takes your wedding to a personalised level.
Of course, all of these are suggestions, and if your budget allows for it, things that we thoroughly recommend.
If you want to include these in your wedding, or have any questions, just drop us a line and we will be able to help you out!
